Velar sauna overview
The Velar is a made to order outdoor sauna built in Britain using high quality materials and a traditional framing approach. Designed for larger households, shared sessions and more spacious private use, it seats up to eight people while giving you a more complete sauna layout through the addition of a separate changing area.
The changing room creates a natural transition before and after each session. Rather than stepping straight into the sauna from outside, you have a sheltered space to prepare, cool down, store towels and move comfortably between the outdoors and the sauna. Interior access from the changing room into the hot room keeps the experience more private, practical and considered.
The Velar has been designed for people who want their sauna to feel like a dedicated wellness space, not just a single hot room. Its larger footprint, tiled floor, dual-pitched roof and choice of wood-fired or electric heater give it a more complete and substantial feel.

Dimensions & materials
The Velar measures 5.7m long by 2.9m wide, with a dual-pitched roof rising from 2.4m to 2.7m, depending on your preference. This gives the sauna a generous internal layout while keeping the overall form balanced and architectural from the outside.
Inside, the sauna is cladded with thermo aspen, a smooth and stable wood that performs well at higher temperatures. It creates a calm and natural atmosphere and remains comfortable against the skin during longer sessions. A thermo spruce finish is used externally, available in black, natural wood or a light wood wash, or custom paint/staining, allowing the sauna to sit comfortably within a wide range of outdoor spaces.
The tiled floor gives the Velar a more robust and practical finish, especially for regular use and sessions where people are moving between the changing room and sauna. It is easy to maintain, well suited to year-round use and helps create a more permanent, spa-like feel inside the sauna.
The Velar is available with either a wood-fired or electric heater, depending on the experience you want and the services available to your site. A wood-fired heater gives a more traditional ritual and is especially suited to settings where electrical supply may be limited. An electric heater offers simple, remote control, reliable performance and a more convenient everyday routine.
