British-made outdoor saunas and cabins

True North is a British design and manufacturing company creating outdoor saunas and cabins from our workshop in Worcestershire.

Our focus is on products that combine strong design with the durability of a permanent outdoor structure. Each model is made to order, with its construction, materials and interior developed around how it will perform in everyday use and through the changing British climate.

Our range of outdoor saunas now spans six models, from compact three-person spaces through to larger saunas with changing rooms, covered outdoor areas and more generous internal layouts. Alongside this, we’ve applied the same approach to a wider range of outdoor structures, starting with Havn – our first year-round cabin.

Designed with purpose, built with integrity

We started True North because we believed there was room for outdoor saunas that brought together architectural design, genuine sauna performance and the construction quality expected of a permanent outdoor building, which meant looking beyond the visible finish.

A sauna has to work as a heated environment, but it also has to spend every day outside. The structure needs to manage heat, moisture and ventilation internally while protecting against rain, temperature changes and long-term weather exposure externally.

We design around both.

Our mission

To create spaces that support rest, longevity and better everyday living.

“We built True North to offer something better than the mass-produced options on the market. Every sauna we create is made to order and designed to last, perform reliably and feel like a natural part of your home. For us, it’s about doing things properly and building products people can genuinely enjoy for years to come.”

Close to every project

When someone speaks to us about their garden, access, preferred model or specification, the conversation stays close to the people responsible for building and installing the product. It means we can give customers practical guidance based on how the saunas are actually made, rather than passing information between separate sales, manufacturing and installation teams.

By the time a sauna reaches a customer’s home, we will usually already understand the site, the access requirements, the specification and the decisions that have shaped the build.

Positioning, groundwork, electrical supply, access and delivery all need to be resolved before installation. We guide customers through those requirements from the beginning, providing the information needed to prepare the site while their sauna is being built.

Once the structure is complete, we coordinate delivery and installation rather than handing the project over at the workshop door. Depending on access, the majority of our saunas arrive fully constructed, allowing us to keep work on site to a minimum and maintain greater control over the finished product.

Built for the long term

A True North sauna or cabin is a significant investment in your home. We believe the value should be visible in the design, but also present in the parts you cannot immediately see; the structure behind the cladding, the insulation within the walls, the way the internal environment has been developed and the standard of the work carried out before the product ever reaches your property.

Every True North sauna and cabin is built to order in our own Hartlebury workshop. Keeping design and manufacturing close gives us greater control over the product from the earliest stages of construction through to the final finish.
