Designed and built in the UK
All True North outdoor saunas are designed and handcrafted at our workshop in Hartlebury, Worcestershire.
We manage every stage of the build in-house, allowing us to maintain strict quality standards, consistent craftsmanship and careful attention to detail. Being based in Britain also means we build specifically for the UK climate, ensuring our saunas perform reliably throughout the year.
True North is proud to have Made in Britain accreditation, recognising our commitment to British manufacturing, responsible production and high build standards. By keeping design and construction under one roof, we ensure every sauna meets the level of quality and care our customers expect from a long-term home investment.
Why we started
True North began when Matthew was looking for a better way to recover and stay steady in a busy life. Like many people, he was balancing work, family and the pace of modern living. Matthew dialled in sleep, nutrition and fitness, but something was still missing.
When he started using sauna and cold therapy, things changed. The combination helped him think more clearly, recover more easily and feel more resilient through the week. It became a part of his routine that made the biggest difference.
We wanted to design a sauna that offered that same benefit and impact at home. Something high quality, built for daily use and made for people who take their health seriously, without being out of reach.
True North exists to give people a reliable way to support how they recover, think and feel each day. Craftsmanship without compromise.

Designed for people who want a genuine, high-quality sauna experience at home
People choose a True North sauna for different reasons, but the intention is often the same. They want a reliable space at home where they can unwind, recover or reset when needed.
Heat helps with recovery and mobility after exercise.
A sauna creates a natural pause in the day, helping the body slow down.
A steady heat routine supports sleep, stress and everyday balance.
Regular warmth supports preparation, recovery and overall conditioning.
A sauna becomes a consistent part of a healthier lifestyle.
See if a True North sauna is right for your home
Most people begin by checking whether a sauna like the Eluna or Sola will work well in their garden and fit the way they want to use heat. This quick assessment helps you get clear on the basics. You will see what is needed for installation, what to expect from regular use and whether now is the right time to move forward.
Do I need planning permission?
Most outdoor saunas meet permitted development height. If needed, we can help you check locally.
What groundwork do I need?
For the foundations, it’s important to raise the sauna off the ground to allow airflow and protect against moisture. This is achieved using concrete columns, installed on a level base (concrete pad, paving slabs, or decking). We can guide you through the full process and ensure everything is set up correctly.
What electrical supply is required?
Depending on the stove size, either single-phase or three-phase electricity will be required. Once we have the necessary details on your existing electrics, we can guide you through the full process and ensure everything is set up correctly.
How long does installation take?
Installation typically takes one day. Depending on the sauna model selected and site access, the sauna will either be assembled on site or delivered fully constructed and installed in position.
Can I use the sauna throughout the year?
Yes. The materials and insulation are chosen for British weather in all seasons.
How much space do I need?
We provide the full dimensions and can help you work out the best placement in your garden.
Is maintenance difficult?
No. Occasional exterior care and basic stove upkeep is all that is needed.
